Forage Crop Research

The project

More than half of New Zealand sheep farms have worms that are drench resistant, posing a huge threat to the future viability of the industry. PGG Wrightson Seeds wanted an educational video to explain how its industry-leading plant breeding and trials is combatting worms through the use of forage crops. The company wanted farmers to feel confident using its varieties to disrupt the worm life cycle and boost the resilience of their stock through nutrition.

What we did

We executed a video shoot on New Zealand’s South Island, taking the audience into the paddock to see the challenge through the eyes of the farmer. Conversational interviews distilled complex topics into easy-to-understand content, supported by beautiful cinematography of the landscape and grazing livestock. The feature video explained in detail how forage crops like Pallaton Raphno stop worm larvae from migrating up the plant into the grazing horizon and boost animal nutrition and resilience.
